The travelling wheel as precursor of the bicycle was invented in Mannheim, and it was in the course as a vertical as well as the Mannheim bridge with the many arches over river Neckar. In the Team Competition obstacles symbolised the countries of the participating teams. Belgium was represented by the Atomium, England by the London subway, the Netherlands by small canal bridges from Amsterdam and Sweden by the typical shape and dark red colour of their farm houses. Germany showed the heads of the 16 federal states. The spectators liked especially the combination built with sunflower wings, and the special wall made with blue dolphins. All obstacles can of course be produced in the same or similar way for our customers.
